Dua Lipa is a Brit musician and singer who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd 1995. She signed a contract with Warner Bros Records after a couple of years of work and released a self-titled first album in 2017. It climbed to the third place on the U.K. Chart for Albums. There were eight songs released including Be the only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). The album also climbed at the number 6 spot in the United States. Lipa has been awarded Brit Awards in 2018 in two categories: British Female Artist, British Breakthrough Act, and British. Furthermore, the platinum album has been praised in multiple countries. Dua Lipa was the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London, was born on the 22nd of August, 1995. She has Bosnian roots through her grandmother. Her ancestors can also be identified back to the Kosovo city of Peja. The two grandfathers of Lipa were historians. Gjin along with Rina are her sisters. Her father, a guitarist and lead singer of Kosovan the band Oda was a major influence on her music. In the age of nine she began to learn how to sing. Lipa covered Beautiful Christina Aguilera's Beautiful, and If Ain't Get You By Alicia Keys. Lipa made her debut record agreement in 2014 with Warner Bros. Records. In August 2015 the debut track of hers New Love came out.
