Ruth Wilson

Ruth Wilson is a two-time Olivier Award winner and Golden Globe Award winner. She has made her Broadway debut in Nick Payne's Constellations alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. Ruth Wilson is most famous for her role as Alison Lockhart in the Showtime series "The Affair" (Golden Globe Award). Film credits include The Little Stranger, Dark River, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House The Suite FranASSaise, Locke, Saving Mr. Banks, The Lone Ranger as well as Anna Karenina. The actress won Olivier Awards for Best Actress for Anna Christie opposite Jude Law and Best Supporting actor for A Streetcar Named Desire opposite Rachel Weisz, both at the Donmar Warehouse. The National Theatre has nominated her to win an Olivier Award as Best Actress in Hedda Gabrieller. Wilson was awarded 8 Emmy Awards for her role in "Luther," a BBC drama that earned critical acclaim. In the BBC miniseries Jane Eyre has earned her nominations for BAFTA and Golden Globe Awards in the Best Lead Actress. In 2007 the actress made her London debut in Maxim Gorky's Philistines with the National Theatre. She also played in Ingmar Bergman's Through a Glass Darkly, adapted for the Almeida Theatre.
